A Good Idea or a Bad One?
By the way, this is not me or my brother.
Recently, my brother and I have been enjoying wide-ranging conversations about the headlines and stories that are screaming at us through traditional and social media. One of the concerns we both have is that many people who agree with what we think may not have very good reasons for doing so. And some of those who might disagree may not have had any exposure to reasonably—and kindly-expressed thoughts from “the other side.”
Out of this concern came an idea. Could we corral our thoughts on issues, offer a brief, basic statement of our view, and then provide links to some of the better resources (in our opinion) for people to examine the issue further? We are thinking this over right now, and I wanted to ask, is this a good idea or a bad one? We don’t want to get into fights; we want to help those who are looking for some thoughts from our rather conservative, Christian perspective.
What do you think? Please feel free to write me here and tell me. And when you write, if there is a question you’d like us to examine, please include it! Some examples might be:
“Should the government be able to tell Harvard what to do with money it receives from the government, and does the government have the right to end such support?”
“Has this Christian pastor/leader/speaker (you can fill in the name) gone woke?”
“Should the USA bring back those who were deported by mistake, even if they aren’t good people?”
We would offer an opinion and then provide supporting links.
So, what do you think?
